Phoenix’s Return
By Emma Shainwald
Phoenix’s Return / 凤凰回来
The drawing depicts two people resting on a lotus while a phoenix flies overhead. In Chinese mythology the Phoenix will land in times of peace or where something precious can be found. The phoenix flying above represents the peace and resilience that comes from healing, and how community care is sacred and essential.
