OCA - Greater Philadelphia (GP)
The OCA – Greater Philadelphia (OCA-GP) chapter serves the five Pennsylvania counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia and the four New Jersey counties of Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Mercer. Our members come from a variety of backgrounds, ranging from non-profit organizations and self employment to professionals working in academia, government, and corporate. Our chapter strives to advance the social, political and economic well-being of Asian Americans and to promote civic engagement on issues impacting our communities.

Featuring former New Jersey Superior Court Judge and current NAPABA General Counsel Rahat N. Babar, this discussion will examine the history of birthright citizenship, the U.S. Supreme Court’s current review and debate, and the broader legal, historical, and community implications of the case. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in community dialogue and a Q&A following the presentation.
Held in celebration of Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month, this free event is open to the public.
