Chapter Highlights: OCA-Greater Houston

On March 9, 2023, the Texas AAPI community gathered at the state capitol for an advocacy day. The event included a press conference and visits to legislative offices to discuss key legislation affecting their community. The Texas legislature, which convenes biannually for 140 days, passes laws that greatly affect Asians and Pacific Islanders. The community is encouraged to maintain ongoing engagement with elected officials to foster enduring connections.
