RESOLUTION OF THE ORGANIZATION OF CHINESE AMERICANS URGING THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO QUICKLY PASS HATE CRIMES BILL

WHEREAS Bill Lann Lee's nomination has been stonewalled for over two years, illustrating that some elected officials do not feel it is important to have strong civil rights leadership; and

FURTHER IT BE RESOLVED that the Organization of Chinese Americans applauds the leadership of supportive senators who tried their hardest to get the bill through the Senate

FURTHER IT BE RESOLVED that the Organization of Chinese Americans urges the House of Representatives to pass the bill quickly in order to make sure those who violate this law will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
