What is the Coalesce Leadership Retreat?

The Coalesce Leadership Retreat is a series of three regional convening's centered around giving students an opportunity to refine some of the knowledge they have pertaining to professional development and advocacy. Regional convening’s will take place in 3 cities between October 2016 and February 2017. These locations will be in:

    • Washington D.C. - November 12th, 2016
      • Register for the Washington D.C. Retreat here
    • Los Angeles, CA - January 21st, 2017
    • Midwest or South - February 2017

The three areas of professional development that the Coalesce Leadership Retreat will focus on are:

  • Personal Branding - To help participants develop the skills needed to get them career ready beyond what is provided by school career centers
  • Advocacy - To educate participants on issues affecting their region and equip them with the knowledge to begin local advocacy work
  • Networking - To provide participants to get connected with former interns and opportunities with former interns from other classes

At these convening’s, participants will interact with career professionals to receive invaluable advice beyond the resources offered in school. Our objective for the retreat is to strengthen the AAPI leaders of tomorrow, connect them with like-minded individuals around their region, and empower them to put advocacy into action.
