WASHINGTON, D.C. –  OCA, a national organization dedicated to advancing the social, political and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans (APAs) is pleased to announce OCA’s annual APA leadership development event that will take place on Friday, October 7, 2011 at the Capital Hilton in Washington, DC.

B3: Build, Breakthrough & Believe is a leadership summit OCA introduced in 2009 to strengthen and create a pipeline of inspired emerging APA leaders. Over 100 APA young professionals will attend this year’s event which will be held in conjunction with the 20th Anniversary of OCA’s National APA Corporate Achievement Awards.

"We find it critical to provide young professionals with opportunities to develop the skills to become future leaders in their respective professions. Networking and leadership development are necessary components to a successful career. Through interacting with and learning from talented career professionals the program provides people with the knowledge to build their own pathway to success,” said OCA National President Ken Lee.

OCA believes it is essential to engage young leaders and provide them with mentoring early in their careers. The B3 program serves as a resource for those who might not necessarily have the support and guidance while navigating the waters of the professional world.  Sessions and topics will range from social media to corporate leadership tactics and strategies.

B3 is generously supported by Presenting Sponsor: Yum! Brands; Friends of B3: Kraft Foods; Official Airline: Southwest Airlines.
