Washington, D.C. (April 20, 2011) – OCA, a national organization dedicated to advancing the social, political and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans (APAs), today announced a partnership with Comcast where contributions will be made to the organization when customers order one or more Chinese language subscription services (where available) during a special promotional period. In celebration of Mother’s Day, a $20 donation will be made to OCA for every new Chinese premium network subscription on XFINITY TV from April 18 to May 8.
"OCA is proud to continue building our partnership with Comcast,” said OCA Executive Director George Wu. "We hope folks can take advantage of this offer and help raise money for OCA at the same time.
”Comcast has created a strong network of relevant, rich programming for the Asian American community to enjoy in the U.S., connecting them with what’s important in their lives and offering programming of their choice. XFINITY TV from Comcast offers Chinese language channels including CTI-Zhong Tian Channel, CCTV-4, Phoenix InfoNews, Phoenix North America Chinese Channel, ET Super Channel and TVB Jade in California, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. Not all programming available in all areas.
XFINITY TV is also offering a complimentary selection of Asian and Asian American programs to all digital cable subscribers from May 2 to June 1 in celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. Titles can be accessed by pushing the On Demand menu on a remote or going to channel 1 and then selecting "Top Picks” and searching for "Asian Heritage.”
