|Action Alert: DREAM Act will be voted on TODAY in the House and Senate!
The DREAM Act will be voted on TODAY in the House and Senate! Every year, over 65,000 students in the United States graduate from high school but cannot pursue their dreams because of their undocumented immigration status. The Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act will pave a way for undocumented students to enroll in college or the military and attain a legal immigration status.
Contrary to popular myth, the DREAM Act will not provide a free ride to undocumented immigrants. Instead, it promotes responsibility and accountability, and provides an incentive for undocumented youth to stay in school and graduate. The beneficiaries of this legislation will become educated, taxpaying citizens who contribute to our economy.

- Economically, it makes sense. According to the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office, the DREAM Act will reduce the National deficit of 1.4 billion and increase government revenues by $2.3 billion over 10 years.
- The youth deserve a chance. The students it will affect are those who have been raised as Americans and consider the United States their only home. Passage of the DREAM Act will give thousands of these students, students like Steve Li, a chance at the American Dream.
