WASHINGTON, D.C.—OCA, a national organization dedicated to advancing the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans (APAs), announces that AT&T will receive OCA’s 2010 Corporate Partner Award at the OCA Gala Awards Dinner on Saturday, June 19. The Gala will be held at the Westin Galleria in Houston, Texas.

"AT&T has been one of OCA’s most valued and dedicated partners, continually supporting and participating in our Annual National Convention, the National Asian Pacific American Corporate Achievement Awards, our Business Advisory Council (BAC) and within our local OCA chapters,” said OCA National President Ken Lee. "We are proud that we will be able to honor them as our 2010 Corporate Partner of the Year.”

Over the years, AT&T has continued to demonstrate its commitment to diversity and to OCA’s mission. Their participation with the BAC has been an invaluable resource in the guidance and shaping of OCA as an organization and of the BAC itself.

"With the support of organizations like OCA, we help embrace the dreams of our future leaders and empower them to grow and achieve anything they set their minds to,” said Cindy Brinkley, AT&T senior vice president, talent development and chief diversity officer. "We are proud of everything we do to positively impact our nation’s bright and talented youth; their diverse backgrounds and experiences are what drive innovation. I commend OCA for staying true to its mission of embracing the hopes and aspirations of the Asian Pacific American community.”

The OCA National Convention is one of the largest annual gatherings of APAs. This year the convention features three days of workshops, exhibits and a career fair, youth and college programs, a senior day/health fair, and many notable speakers and guests. Convention activities also include a tour of the Johnson Space Center, the 6th Annual Houston APA film festival, and a Starry Night Market.

OCA will also honor its members during the convention with OCA's Chapter of the Year Award, the Unsung Heroes Award, and several college scholarships. A full schedule is available online at www.ocanational.org.
