Help Empower the Next Generation of APA Leaders by Making a Gift to OCA Today!
As OCA launches its 40th Year Anniversary Giving Campaign, we need your help to raise $400,000 in total gifts by the end of 2013 to help OCA sustain and grow as a vibrant and leading national civil rights organization. While we have made leaps and bounds as a community in our fight for social justice, APAs continue to face significant barriers in obtaining equal treatment and opportunities. To this end, OCA is seeking to broaden its impact through several key areas from our anniversary fundraising efforts:
The stark reality is that the APA community is largely seen as invisible in conversations regarding public policy. This is an injustice to our community. With your help, OCA can grow and continue represent the voice of the APAs and their families and nurture an American society where the human rights and dignity of all APAs are acknowledged. OCA fights to ensure that APAs are heard and we need your help by the end of the year to help sustain our mission of advocacy through empowerment. Thank you for your continued support as OCA works to fight for our community.
- Expansion of the OCA Internship Program by 40% from 25 to 35 to provide more opportunities to young high potential APA students from all across the country.
- Increasing the number of OCA fellowships from 2 to 3 to help support the critical advocacy work that OCA engages in on a national scale.
- Providing critical resources for maintaining and developing our national network of chapters and affiliates.
- Maintaining a presence in Washington, DC to work with other key national civil rights organizations to achieve success in our community.
