WASHINGTON, D.C. – OCA – Asian Pacific American Advocates, a national membership driven organization dedicated to advancing the political, social, and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans (APAs), is pleased to announce the 24th annual Summer Internship program with 25 students from across the country. The 10 week paid internship provides APA students an opportunity to gain professional experience in various government agencies, congressional offices, and non-profit organizations in the nation’s capital.

"For over 24 years, OCA has built a leadership pipeline for the APA community through our internship program. We are excited to welcome our newest future leaders to Washington, DC especially as we celebrate our 40th Anniversary,” said OCA National President, Sharon M. Wong.

With one of the largest and longest running internships for APA students, OCA continues to educate and empower the next generation of leaders. The OCA Internship Program seeks to cultivate strong advocates by providing students with the opportunity to be involved in the political process through a national organization. The program has successfully led past interns to become more active on their college campus and increased the presence at the APA community in local, state, and federal levels.
