The Young Organization of Chinese Americans(YOCA) was created to bring younger generations of Chinese Americans together to generate awareness of our Chinese ancestry and of our role in today's American society. The YOCA sponsors programs such as Youth Day at the National Convention. Members are eligible for programs such as the Presidential Classroom Scholarship, the OCA essay contest, the OCA Youth Ambassador Program and OCA summer internships.

 How do I form a YOCA Chapter?

• Create interest among friends.
• Form a foundation to build upon - your goals and plans for the year.
• Set meeting time to discuss ideas and goals.
• Decide on your relationship with the parent OCA chapter.
• Elect your officers.
• Decide on a kickoff event and a few activities to recruit more members.
