Bold Vision: Create a groundswell of APA “aspiring” professionals to lead OCA’s future growth & impact.

Bamboo Objectives:  
  • Provide relevant professional development, peer networking and mentoring to aspiring APA professionals;
  • Expand BAC engagement, best practices and mentoring; and
  • Leverage venue for corporate employee resource groups.

    Bamboo: Build, Breakthrough and Believe will be unveiled prior to the Corporate Achievement Awards on Friday, October 23, 2009 at the W Hotel. It will kick off with a reception from 6:00- 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 22, 2009.

    Friday, October 23, 2009 
    8:30am - 2:30pm

    8:30 - 9:30am: Opening Keynote Breakfast:
    Sandi Karrmann- Yum! International Chief People Officer (Confirmed Speaker)

    9:40 - 10:40am: General Session: "Uncovering Your iBrand". The session is centered on igniting uncovering and launching your personal brand. 
    Lisa Lee - Publisher for Hyphen Magazine (Confirmed Speaker)
    Richard Lui - CNN HLN Reporter (Confirmed Speaker)

    10:50 - 11:50am: General Session: "What's Passion Got to Do with It?" The session focuses on defining your real passion points and daring to fulfill them.

    12:00 - 2: 30pm: Working Lunch: “Breakthrough Roadmap”. The luncheon will feature a leadership panel discussion on strategies for professional success.

    Speed Networking After lunch leaders from all sectors will host 10-15 minute discussions on topics essential to a successful career. Participants will have the opportunity to visit various tables during this dynamic speed networking session.
