OCA Internship Program

The OCA Internship Program is one of OCA's signature student leadership development programs. OCA intern alumni have become executive directors, legislative staffers, OCA National Executive Council members, and are leaders in the private and public sector. Internship placements are available year-round at the OCA National Center, where students work on OCA's program areas as well as assist with communications and development.

The OCA Summer Internship program brings Asian Pacific American students from all around the country to Washington, DC to intern full-time for a federal agency, Congressional office, or partner nonprofit. The summer internship program is a unique opportunity to learn firsthand about national issues and policies that affect Asian Pacific Americans. In previous years interns have visited Congressional offices where they had an opportunity to meet with Congressional Representatives, APA staffers, and members of the Congressional APA Caucus. Summer interns also have hands-on experience at the offices in which they are placed.

All OCA interns receive a stipend.

OCA IS CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THREE FALL INTERNSHIP POSITIONS AT THE OCA NATIONAL CENTER. Applications are due by Friday, August 13, 2010.
