The following is a description of the placements available to you through the OCA Internship Program. 

NOTE: Not all placements are year round, rather most are during the summer.

Year round Internships 

OCA National Office - (Spring, Winter, Fall, Summer) - Intern at the OCA National Office and gain first hand knowledge of the day to day operations of one of the nation's oldest and largest APA civil rights organizations.

Duties:
  • Assist with programs. Interns will learn how to promote civic participation, education and leadership on college campuses and in the APIA community.
  • Help prepare for OCA events. Interns will experience firsthand how OCA is able to build national support and to work in coalition with other national groups around issues that affect the APIA community.
  • Administrative tasks
  • SUMMER - Will select an issue that OCA advocates on behalf of the APA community and strategize, develop and coordinate efforts to spread among membership and the rest of OCA.

 


Summer Internship Placements - (available only during the summer)

The OCA Internship Program during the summer provides unique opportunities to be a part of public policy work in Washington, DC through several federal agencies, congressional offices and other non-profits.  These placements are not guaranteed.
